Feel the nostalgia with Pokémon TCG – XY Evolutions

Yes everyone, you know what this article means, new Pokémon expansion! Yay!

It is the Pokémon trading card game’s 20th anniversary, so what better time to bring out an expansion. As well as that this is the final expansion in the XY series, and they’ve reprinted the original designs of the cards from 20 years a go.

There are four new Pokémon break cards in this series with ‘gold-plated’ art rendering, landscape orientation and a unique foiled pattern, these are; Ninetails BREAK, Machamp BREAK, Starmie BREAK, and Nidoking BREAK. These cards will help give your Pokémon a little extra boost in the power department.

Mega Slowbro-EX, Slowbro-EX, Pigeot-EX, and Mega Pidgot-EX are brand new to the EX system, new versions of Mewtwo-EX and Dragonite-EX appear, as well as Mega Venasaur-EX, Mega Charizard-EX, and Mega Blastoise-EX making an appearance with classic frames.

There are two new theme decks; Pikachu Power, which is Lightning and Grass, and Mewtwo Mayhem, which is Psychic and Fighting. There will also be booster packs of 10 cards sold as well. With more than 100 new cards to collect and play it’ll definitely be keeping me busy until the next expansion comes out.

I really enjoyed playing with this deck, and I love the fact that the old artwork has been incorporated into the cards. I feel it definitely gives my new decks a nostalgic feel, keeping the same kind of power as the new cards.

Do you have the new expansion yet? Which one do you have and which Pokémon is your very best?

I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading,
