I found out about this little bakery over 2 years ago and instantly fell in love.
Konditor and Cook is a chain of Bakeries in London that bake a variety of sweet and savoury treats, hot drinks, and they also made lunches in certain stores as well. The locations of these stores include; Waterloo, Goodge Street, Borough Market, Spitalfields Market, The Gherkin, and Chancery Lane.
My favourite cake from this shop has to be the Curly Whirly brownie, this is a rich chocolate brownie with a cream cheese marble frosting, simply magical! The hot chocolate is also amazing, so rich, creamy, and chocolatey. The smell is just divine.
Some of the cakes are wheat free and gluten free so this is great for coeliacs. However I can’t vouch for Vegans or people with lactose intolerance, best to ask in store about that.
You can have custom cakes made for you for special occasions and also buy cakes in store, as well as getting custom icing lettering of your choice for an extra few pounds which is pretty good. You can also choose to have your treats delivered to you for a charge of £4.95 or you can book a collection to your nearest branch.
Konditor and Cook also have baking and cake decorating classes starting from £35. These classes range from Adult/Child cookery classes and Hen Parties to Wheat free backing and cake tasting. I haven’t experienced any of these yet but I definitely want to give them a try. They also have a cook book called Konditor & Cook Deservedly Legendary Baking which you can purchase from Amazon here if you want to learn to bake like the pros.
The staff in all of the stores that I have visited are super friendly and I even won a free box of brownies by sharing one of their posts during blue Monday, still trying to get through all of them now. So yes, I highly recommend this bakery, give them a visit, and definitely buy a brownie, you won’t regret it!
